Veda Living believes that dining should be one of the most enjoyable parts of everyone’s day. It’s a time to socialize, refuel your body, and tickle your taste buds. For many, getting older means a reduced sense of taste and smell which results in diminished appetites and increased meal supplement replacements.

At some of our memory care specialized communities, for example, you will find colorful dinnerware. The contrast of colors between white mashed potatoes and a red plate is proven to be both helpful in the physical process of eating as well as a visually stimulating appetite stimulant.

NUTRITION

All meals are planned and approved by a Registered Dietician certified in holistic wellness. Meal plans are focused on brain foods: nuts and fish rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, fruits, beans, and a variety of nutrient-dense vegetables both cooked and raw.

Veda works with the same suppliers of local fine-dining restaurants and local farmers when available. Great ingredients with strong recipes produce high quality meals both delicious and health focused.

REGIONAL CHOICE

Coastal seafood, Walla Walla onions, and Tillamook cheddar in the pacific northwest to greens, sweet potatoes and gumbo in the south. Residents enjoy menus developed with their regional preferences as the forefront of the menu development.
